About Trillium Place Young Minds Center

Trillium Place Young Minds Center, an affiliate of Carle Health, is the destination for comprehensive and innovative behavioral health care for children and adolescents.

  • This state-of-the-art center was designed to provide a welcoming and supportive care setting for ages 4 to 17.
  • From assessment and intake through specialty inpatient and outpatient mental health services, it’s all housed in this beautiful, one-stop location.
  • Every detail of the building was inspired by nature to create a care environment where kids and their families can find help, healing and support.
Mental health services:

Inpatient Services 

Comprehensive inpatient services are delivered in a safe and supportive setting at the Young Minds Center. Each child’s care plan and length of time in services is individualized to each child’s needs. Inpatient services at the Young Minds Center are a remote location of Carle Health Methodist Hospital. 



Inpatient care is focused on:
  • Setting goals and developing a care plan.
  • Stabilizing the crisis and behavioral concerns.
  • Developing problem-solving skills to manage feelings and behaviors.
  • Learning healthy daily habits.
  • Building a healthy support system.
Inpatient services include:
  • Individual and group therapy.
  • Educational and skill-building groups.
  • Psychiatry/medication-magement services.
  • Art therapy.
  • Spirituality.
  • On-site schoolteachers.
  • Family involvement.
 

Outpatient Services 

A range of specialty outpatient services for youth are also located at Trillium Place Young Minds Center. Outpatient services at the Young Minds Center are a department of Carle Health Methodist Hospital. 



Outpatient services include:
  • Individual counseling.
  • Family therapy.
  • Psychiatry/medication-management.
 

Information for Parents and Guardians 

Parents and caregivers are actively involved throughout services. A parent or guardian must be present during the assessment and admission process for inpatient and outpatient services for youth.

    A schoolteacher is on-site to collaborate with the child’s school and assist with schoolwork - to keep the child on track with assignments while in inpatient services.
